There are three main stages of how our food breaks down: First, the food needs to be chewed.
The chewing process is essentially a mechanical process that turns the food into tiny bits or chunks. This also involves mixing up the ingredients from different types of food together. This is so that the various types of food we're eating can interact with one another to create better unique chemical properties for our bodies. For example, say you're having some chicken with broccoli and potatoes. If these three types of foods were not mechanically mixed together before going into your body, then your body would have problems optimally breaking down the various parts of each individual food item. This also applies to how we process our food via the various types of equipment that we use for cooking.
For example, if you were to boil broccoli, the broccoli would essentially be cooked in its own water. However, if you boil broccoli with potatoes, the broccoli and potatoes would effectively end up mixed together into one stew-like material. This is different from having both boiled in their own respective water. This is because having both boiled in their own water can allow for each part of the food to break down independently of one another. For example, you had some chicken wings and some fried shrimp. If these two types of food items were boiled in their own respective water (i.e. chicken wings in their own water and fried shrimp in their own water), then the two types of food would essentially be completely different foods: the chicken wings would be boiled in the same manner as average chicken while the fried shrimp would be boiled in a rather unique way.
We want to avoid this since we already know that most of us prefer to eat both of these foods together, especially when it comes to such a large amount of food like chicken wings. Second, our food needs to be eaten with some other energy source to be utilised by our bodies. Otherwise, if left on their own, our bodies will have no choice but to slow down or stop using that particular type of energy source. For example, let's say you ate some raw broccoli.
If you did this, your body would have problems utilising the broccoli since it can't use it without either expelling it back out again – or worse yet, if left alone, the broccoli would just rot inside your body. However, if you were to eat some cooked broccoli (i.e. by boiling or steaming), this problem wouldn't happen since the food would be much more usable for your body.
Third and finally, food also needs to be broken down into various parts via being absorbed from your stomach into your intestines. This is because your stomach can only hold so much food at one time. The rest of the food you ate would rot within your right and cause problems for you since such a large amount of rotting food within your body could kill you.
However, this is not something we want to happen since it can cause us to become very sick. What foods are classified as "low-quality" nutrition? There are two main types of low-quality nutrition from a factory: The first type is the type of food that slowly breaks down over time and gradually increases in value concerning how long it lasts within an edible state. The second type is the type of food that is only in an edible state for a short period.
The first type can be viewed as being garbage food, and the latter can be considered to be in being high-quality nutrition. The latter type is primarily referred to as "food being broken down into usable nutrients" within this article. The other category, though, can be included with either category when discussing such things. So, in essence, it's all part of the same topic; however, this article will focus more on discussing the latter category. Low-quality nutrition from a factory results from low-quality processing methods used to maintain costs and profit margins.
